Senior Backend Developer
Tomorrow Things is an intelligent automation platform to create digital twins of technical assets. Complex, error-prone, and cost-intense manual integrations are being substituted by technology. Blueprints connect assets with a mouse click so that customers can collect and stream data for enhanced decision-making, improved operational efficiency, and optimized sustainability. The blueprint technology supports plug-and-produce and drives interoperability within the ecosystem. It allows for third-party applications on top of digitalized assets.
Job Desciption
This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Backend Developer at Tomorrow Things. As a Senior Backend Developer, your day-to-day tasks will include software development, programming, and implementing back-end web solutions. You will work closely with a cross-functional team to develop and maintain efficient and scalable applications, ensuring high performance and security. The applications you build will monitor and control a vast landscape of existing, physical machines that will produce an incredible variety of industrial parts and consumer goods, all while generate data 24 hours a day.
Qualifications
Computer Science, Software Development, and Back-End Web Development skills
Experience in developing Microservices based web applications in the backend, ideally using FastAPI
Fluent in Python 3
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to specify and optimize database queries in SQL
Experience in deploying containerized applications, e.g. Docker
At least 3 years of experience as backend developer
Experience with agile software development models and continuous integration
Knowledge of software engineering best practices
Experience with version control systems, such as Git
Ability to work independently and remotely
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Experience with cloud services, such as AWS or Azure, is a plus
