Backed by top-tier investors and trusted by global OEMs, we're shaping the future of industrial intelligence.
Role description
As a Senior Software Architect, you’ll play a pivotal role in executing the technical vision behind our SaaS-based IoT platform. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends architectural oversight with direct contributions to key systems. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and company leadership to ensure our architecture remains robust, secure, and aligned with a clear technical roadmap.
You won’t just guide from the sidelines — you’ll actively design, prototype, and build core backend components, ensuring our architecture not only looks great on paper but performs at scale in production.
- Drive the implementation and evolution of our cloud-native, multi-tenant SaaS architecture, following a defined technical strategy
- Collaborate directly with leadership to keep architectural decisions aligned with product milestones and business goals
- Take a hands-on role in developing key backend services and infrastructure, primarily in Python (FastAPI), with optional use of Rust (Rocket, Axum)
- Provide architectural guidance while actively contributing to backend development
- Champion system reliability, observability, and modern infrastructure-as-code standards across AWS and Azure environments
- Embed security and data integrity principles deeply into every architectural decision — industrial data security is non-negotiable
- Work closely with DevOps and product teams to implement robust infrastructure and integration across cloud and edge
What you bring
- 5+ years in software architecture with proven hands-on contributions to production-grade systems
- Deep expertise in backend development with Python and FastAPI, plus experience or interest in Rust (Rocket, Axum)
- Solid track record designing scalable microservices, modern CI/CD, and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Practical experience with AWS and/or Azure, deploying resilient cloud infrastructure
- Strong understanding of data pipelines, real-time stream processing, and distributed systems
- Bonus: Knowledge of edge computing, IoT protocols (MQTT, AMQP) or industrial automation contexts
- Confident communicator who collaborates across teams and reports clearly to senior stakeholders
- A builder’s mindset: you thrive on delivering robust, maintainable components hands-on
What we offer
- Be a key executor of an architecture powering the future of industrial AI and automation
- Combine high-level system design with real, production-grade development
- Join a mission-driven team solving practical, high-impact challenges at the intersection of industry and innovation
- Competitive salary, meaningful equity, and genuine ownership
- Remote-first culture with flexible working options and a collaborative team based in Bonn
